Highway Enforcement Officer – £21.95 p/h

Hybrid working – but a lot of out and about investigation work

Initial 3 month contract, possible extensions

• Experience of delivering on‑street statutory enforcement within a local authority, public sector organisation, or comparable contracted enforcement service.
• Experience of engaging with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to resolve issues impacting the local environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with external partner agencies, including the police and other enforcement bodies.
• Experience of managing a caseload of enforcement, compliance, or investigation‑based cases on behalf of a front‑line operational service.
• Evidence‑gathering and reporting skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate written statements and case files to support formal or legal proceedings.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to highway or public realm (Highways Act 1980 – ideal but not essential).
• Resilience, professionalism, and confidence working in an on‑street environment, including dealing with conflict and maintaining personal safety
• Full driving licence with access to their own vehicle
