Red Snapper Recruitment is recruiting for a Probation Services Officer to join the Bexley Probation Delivery Unit (PDU) on a full-time temporary basis. This is a 6-month assignment ideal for individuals with previous probation experience who are confident managing People on Probation within the community.

Location: Norwich Place, Bexleyheath, DA6 7ND
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Hours: Full-Time – 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £18.59 per hour (PAYE) | £24.48 per hour (Umbrella)
Travel Expenses: Covered

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a caseload of adult service users in the community
• Deliver structured supervision sessions, monitor compliance, and support rehabilitation
• Liaise with internal and external partners including police, courts, housing and treatment providers
• Update records using NDelius and contribute to risk management processes
• Respond to non-compliance and contribute to enforcement decisions where appropriate

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working in the Probation Service (as a PSO or similar role)
• Ability to manage complex caseloads independently and maintain professional boundaries
• Familiarity with NDelius and offender management systems
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
